Taloyoak is the northernmost community on Canada’s mainland. The community of approximately 850 is served only by air and by annual supply sealift.  Because the number of food insecure households in Taloyoak, the food bank struggles to serve the community need. Donations from outside the community are needed and greatly appreciated.

Without donations from people like you the Taloyoak Food Bank is vulnerable to closing.

How is the food bank funded?

We receive no funding, rely on donations from public or Taloyoak stores.

No, we are not a registered charity.

Donate via credit card to the Taloyoak Food Bank’s grocery account with Paleajook Eskimo Co-operative.

  1. Send an email to the Paleajook Eskimo Co-operative manager, manager@paleajook.coop advising that you want to make a donation to the food bank. Include the donation amount and the last 4 digits of your credit card.
  2. Telephone the Co-op store manager (867) 561-5221. Give the full credit card details over the phone.
  3. A receipt from the Co-op will be emailed back to you.
